A guide for ministering to the needs of POC.
Be the Bridge acknowledges the needs of people of color (POC) who are asked to carry a heavy load while bridge-building. The burden put on POC who are members of Be the Bridge groups often goes unseen and inadequately addressed. Be the Bridge is committed to be a healing agent in the lives of POC as well as equip POC to discover and dismantle white supremacy in their own minds and hearts. To this end, a new guide is being developed to guide POC through the process of healing.
Be Informed and Build Awareness.
Written by a team bridge-builders, Be the Bridge: People of Color Guide, explores how the impact of internalized racism effects interactions and perceptions between different POC groups.
The guide tackles internalized racism, classism, interracial prejudice and many more important topics.
With a practical plan for self-care, this discussion guide ministers to the needs of POC who work or worship in majority-white spaces. Ultimately, the guide seeks to foster unity and reconciliation within POC groups.
The guide will be available in late 2020.
